Growing up, music has always been an influential part of my life. From a young age, I always found solace through music. I used to sit in my bedroom and analyze what an artist was trying to portray through their lyrics and melodies. I found music to be therapeutic; an outlet in which I could counsel myself through different events that took place in my life. Music has the power to change your mood. It can influence your perspective. It can ignite change. Music can bring you to tears or make you want to get up and dance your heart out. I don’t know if there is anything quite as powerful that is so readily at our fingertips. With that in mind, I thought I would share some of my favorite songs at the moment. I hope you find comfort, joy, solace and freedom from these tracks. Enjoy!
